This is the second part of a mini series about songs for teaching parts of speech. If you missed the first post about nouns and verbs, you can find it here.

Sing The Adjective Song to the tune of The Itsy Bitsy Spider.
Adverbs, probably one of the trickiest parts of speech! Sing this one to the tune of Skip to my Lou.
The Pronoun Song is a student favorite because it’s sung to the tune of the Sponge Bob theme song! I like to kick it off by saying, “Are you ready kids?” Then they say, “Aye, aye, Mrs. Braun!” Me: “I can’t hear you!” Them: “AYE AYE MRS. BRAUN!” All together: OOOOOOOoohhhhh….. (just like how the TV show starts)

Happy teaching!
I just discovered your blog via Pinterest searching for parts of speech ideas. I LOVE your songs and can’t wait to use them in my classroom! I am including them in my blog post on Saturday about great pins I discovered this month. Thanks so much for sharing! I’m signing up for email notifications to your blog.
I love these songs! Can you make one for prepositional phrases?
That’s a good idea. I’ll put it on my to-do list.
When I was in the 7th grade our teacher taught us the prepositions by tune of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame”. I am now 44 years old and still remember it!
Isn’t that interesting how music helps us remember things?
Thank you very much for these great songs!! They’re perfect!
Hi Hannah. My kids are loving your songs. I also would love if you had time to create a conjunction and preposition song sheet. Many thanks for your uploads.
The are awesome!! I love the videos of the noun and verb songs. Are you planning to make videos of the adjective, adverb and pronoun songs?
Thanks, Tracie!
I do plan to eventually make videos for the other songs.
I love these songs, thanks for sharing! My students have learned the noun song, so far, thanks to your helpful videos provided. Do you happen to have sound videos for adjectives and pronouns, too? I’m not very musically inclined, so having my students hear it, is way better! I don’t seem to get the tunes right, when it’s left up to me. Thank you!
Hi Elizabeth!
I’m so glad the songs are helpful to your class. I do plan on making videos of the other songs eventually. Stay tuned! 🙂
